The shape of the chimney
stack, its position on the roof, any obstacles or the
vicinity to other constructions of different heights are
very important in determining whether chimney flues “draw".
In addition, the external weather conditions are also
very important. Strong wind on an irregular chimney
stack can make it difficult for smoke to come out of the
chimney flue with damaging effects on the functioning of
the heat generator and the persons’ health. |

Knowing how important
chimney stacks are, S.C.M. proposes two types: one
traditional stack and one for bad weather. The
traditional one is requested in those cases where
appearance is more important than technical features.
The ESSECOM bad weather chimney stack optimises the
chimney’s draw in any weather conditions (wind, rain,
etc.). The chimney stack defends against bad weather
thanks to its particular technical solutions, geometry
and size. It does not use means of mechanical suction (always
difficult to maintain and use), the use of which is also
prohibited by UNI 10683 standard, point 4.2.4. |
