THE EC CERTIFIED CHIMNEY FLUE FOR WOODEN HOUSES, CEILINGS AND ROOFS

Included in our range of ready assembled, patented double insulation chimney flues is the ESSEBLOCK ESSEWOOD chimney flue which has almost double the rock wool insulation of standard flues. You are very unlikely to find this thickness on other products. Thanks to the 7.5 cm (5 + 2.5) of insulation, it is possible to place the ESSEWOOD chimney flue in contact with combustible materials, in particular wooden panels or beams. Therefore, it is practically indispensable for assembly in wooden houses or to go through wooden ceilings or roofs. As it can be directly plastered or clad in stones or bricks, it can pleasantly fit in with the appearance of the house. The high testing temperature makes it suitable for getting rid of combustion smoke not just from gas or oil-operated boilers, but also from fireplaces and both pellet and wood-burning stoves.
Since it also passed the soot fire test (the testing smoke has a temperature of 1000°C “one thousand degrees!!!”) in contact with combustible surfaces, the person installing the flue can rest assured even in the most extreme situations (a fire in the flue – high operating temperatures), as the amount of heat transferred through the thick insulation is so low that the risk of the roof or the house setting on fire is completely eliminated.
When passing through wooden ceilings or roofs at a constant temperature of 400°C (testing temperature 500°C), it is possible to place it in direct contact with the wood; at a constant temperature of 450°C (testing temperature 550°C), you can leave just 2 cm and use the special roof or ceiling passages (EC certified) to close the gap.
ESSEWOOD has the same features as all our ESSEBLOCK flues, amongst which it is light, quick and easy to assemble, and safe. All the components are assembled in our factory with its UNI EN ISO 9001 certified production cycle, and meet all the quality and heat insulation requirements.
It is quick and within the capabilities of any skilled craftsman to assemble an ESSEWOOD chimney flue. You just have to follow a few rules and simple instructions and the flue will be quickly completed in correspondence with your expectations and the appointed physical features.
